Step 1 of 3
Paint on the Gulf coast almost never fails because of the paint. It fails because of what is under it: salt air that chalks a south-facing wall until it powders on your hand, mildew that comes back in the same shaded corner every August, and stucco hairline cracks that open a little wider each summer.
So most of the job happens before any color goes on. We wash the surface at low pressure, scrape and feather every failing edge, patch the stucco, run elastomeric caulk at each window, door and joint, and prime whatever needs primer. Two finish coats are the easy part, and they are the part everybody else starts with.
The surfaces around here are not all the same, and we do not prep them the same. Block and stucco, fiber cement, wood siding, a wood soffit that has been drinking rain for a decade, a manufactured home with a metal skirt — each one gets the prep it actually needs, written into the scope so you can read it.
You get all of that on paper before we start: the surfaces, the prep, the primer, the number of coats, and one fixed price. If we open a fascia board and find rot underneath, we show it to you and price it before we touch it. That is what More Than Paint means — the repair, the caulk and the clean-up are the job, and the color is just the last day of it.

No price over the phone, and no number that changes after the drop cloths are down.
Send the form or call (941) 263-0912, and we will set a day and a time window that works for you.
Wendel comes out, measures the work himself, and leaves you a written scope with a fixed price: the surfaces, the prep, the repairs, the primer and the number of coats. The visit costs nothing, there is no deposit to get a number, and there is nothing to sign at the end of it.
Wendel is on site for the whole job. You are not handed off to a crew you never met after the estimate.
One start date, the same two people every day, and a walkthrough with you at the end.
Surfaces, prep, primer, number of coats and one fixed price, itemized before anyone opens a can.
Salt, mildew and chalking are what kill a coat here. The prep is priced into the job, not sold as an extra.
Liability insurance, and the certificate goes to you — or straight to your association — before the first day.
Tell us at the visit and we build the schedule around your calendar, so the work happens while you are up north.
Twelve services, all of it finish work. Anything that needs a plumber, an electrician or a permit is outside what we do — and we tell you that on the first call instead of stretching to take the job.

Explore Interior Painting
Coastal-grade coatings chosen for Florida salt, sun and afternoon rain. Low-pressure soft wash, scrape and feather the failing paint, patch the stucco cracks, then caulk every window, door and joint.
Explore Exterior Painting
Every door, drawer front and hinge numbered and removed, degreased, primed for laminate or oak, then sprayed to a factory-smooth finish that cures hard enough to live with.
Explore Cabinet Refinishing
Front doors, French doors, casing, baseboard and crown — filled, sanded and caulked before any paint. Sprayed or brushed enamel that keeps its line against handles, shoes and vacuum cleaners.
Explore Doors and Trim
Settlement cracks, nail pops, corner bead and water stains repaired, then textured to match what is already on the wall — orange peel, knockdown or a smooth Level 5 finish.
Explore Drywall Repair
The 1980s ceiling scraped off, skim-coated and sanded smooth, with floors, walls and doorways sealed off first. Finished smooth, knockdown or orange peel — and the room left clean.
Explore Popcorn Removal
Driveways, walkways, pavers, pool decks, lanais and screen enclosures brought back without blasting the surface. Soft wash on anything painted or stucco, real pressure only where it belongs.
Explore Pressure Washing
The part of a Florida home that fails first. Wood soffit and tongue-and-groove ceilings refinished, fascia repaired and repainted, and any rot cut out before coating — never painted over.
Explore Soffit and Fascia
Porch and lanai ceilings, pergolas, railings and decks stripped and sanded back to bare wood, then given a penetrating stain and a clear protective topcoat in a deep, even tone.
Explore Wood Staining
Concrete floors, garages, patios and pool decks prepped, degreased and crack-repaired, then sealed with a coating built to take Florida sun and pool chemicals. Non-slip finishes available.

Shiplap, vertical slat paneling, board and batten, and painted two-tone walls — the fastest way to change a room without touching anything structural. Color consultation before we start.

The owner walks the job himself: every wall, ceiling, soffit, fascia and lanai, and what the existing coating is actually doing — chalking, mildew, cracking, or just tired.
Surfaces, prep, repairs, primer, number of coats and one fixed price, itemized on the page. Nothing verbal, and nothing added after we start.
One start date, daily clean-up, and a walkthrough with you at the end. Anything on that punch list gets fixed before we load the truck for the last time.

The visit is free, the measurement is free and the written estimate is free. There is nothing to buy at the end of it.
Everything below is inside the number you are quoted. It is not a menu of upgrades we bring up on day three.
We mask the floors, the furniture, the fixtures and the screens before anything else happens. Outside, we wash at low pressure to take off salt, mildew and chalking, then scrape, sand and feather every failing edge — including the alligator cracking that shows up on a wall that has faced the sun for ten summers.
Then the repairs: stucco hairline cracks filled, minor wood rot cut out of trim and fascia, elastomeric caulk at every window, door and joint, and bonding primer wherever the surface will not hold paint on its own. Only after that do the two finish coats go on.
We clean up at the end of each day, so you get your home back every evening instead of at the end of the week. On the last day we walk the whole job with you, and anything you point at gets fixed on that same visit.

A lot of homes here sit under an HOA, and the color has to come off an approved palette before a brush touches the wall. We paint to the palette you are given, and we work around the hours the community allows.
In the 55+ communities the concern is usually the same three things: how much noise, how much mess, and how many days. One start date, the same two people, floors and furniture covered before anything else happens, and the room put back together before we leave for the evening.
Manufactured and modular homes get their own prep. A metal skirt, aluminum trim and a painted panel wall do not take the same primer a stucco block wall takes, and pretending they do is why the coat fails in two seasons.

WCS Prime Services is Wendel's company. He quotes it, he runs it, and he is on the job — not driving between four of them. Owner on every job is not a line we liked the sound of; it is simply what a two-person company looks like from the inside.
There is Wendel and one helper. The same two people who mask your floors on Monday are the ones doing the final walkthrough with you at the end. Nobody gets handed to a crew you never met, and no face shows up at seven in the morning that you did not shake hands with at the estimate.
The company is small on purpose. It opened in April 2025, and Wendel would rather finish one home properly than run four he cannot stand behind. That also means the person who measured your rooms is the person who answers when you call back about a scuff next season.
More Than Paint is what is on the truck. It means the wash, the scrape, the caulk, the primer and the clean-up are the work — the color is just the last day of it.

A before-and-after is the only honest way to show painting. The wall that was chalking, the lanai ceiling that was stained, the cabinet doors that were peeling at the edge — and then the same frame after the prep and the coats.

We are based in Sarasota, we work Manatee County first, and we take jobs inside a 70-mile radius of home.
A large share of that radius is HOA and 55+ community homes, and those jobs come with their own rules. We paint the color the association approved, we work inside the posted hours, we keep the driveway and the walkways clear, and we hand over a certificate of insurance to the property manager before the first day if that is what they need. If you live in a manufactured home community, tell us at the visit — the skirting, the metal and the siding each want a different prep.
Exterior work runs best in the dry season, roughly September through May, when a coating gets the dry hours it needs to cure properly. That is also snowbird season here, so we schedule exteriors around when you are actually in the home — some people want the work done while they are here to see it, others want the quiet months. Either way we set the dates at the estimate, in writing.

We do not publish a price, because an honest painting price cannot be written before somebody looks at the walls. What moves your number is square footage, ceiling height, how many coats the color change actually needs, the condition of the stucco or the wood, and whether the job includes the lanai, the pool cage, the soffit and the fascia. Wendel measures all of it at the visit and leaves you a written scope with one fixed price on it. The estimate is free, and there is nothing to sign at the end of it.
Yes to both. Wendel comes to your home in Sarasota, measures the work, and gives you a written estimate: the surfaces, the prep, the repairs, the primer, the number of coats, and a fixed price. Written matters more than free. A verbal number can grow once the drop cloths are down, and that is where most painting complaints start. Ours is on paper before anyone opens a can, and it is the number you pay.
Yes. WCS Prime Services Corp carries liability insurance, and we can provide the certificate before the job starts. HOAs and property managers around Sarasota and Manatee County usually ask for it, and we are used to sending it straight to the association. Ask when we come out to measure and we will get it to you with the written estimate.
The dry season, roughly September through May, is the easy window. Coatings need a dry surface and a stretch of dry hours to cure, and from June through August the afternoon storm often arrives before the second coat has set. We paint exteriors year-round by starting early and watching the sky, but if the timing is yours to choose, choose the dry season. It also lines up with snowbird season, so we can set the dates around when you are actually in the home.
Wendel and one helper — the same two people from the first day to the last. The owner is on every job, so the person who measured your rooms is the person masking your floors, and the person you call if something is not right. Nothing gets handed to a subcontracted crew, and you will not meet a new face halfway through the job.

Two separate programs, each one optional, each one with its own checkbox on the form below. You can join one, both, or neither — and still get your estimate.
After you send the form and check the first box, we text you about your estimate, appointment scheduling, crew arrival times and job progress. This is the conversation about your own job.
Example: “WCS Prime Services: your estimate is ready. Can we come by Thursday at 9am? Reply STOP to opt out.”
A separate, optional program for seasonal painting offers and discounts. It has its own checkbox, and leaving it unchecked never affects your estimate or your job.
Example: “WCS Prime Services: exterior painting season is here in Sarasota. Ask about our current pricing when you book a walkthrough. Reply STOP to opt out.”
